Adjusting Placement: Unlocking the Power of Q Magnets
A Personal Inspiration: Finding the Right Magnet Placement
Back in August 2024, we shared my personal experience with managing migraines using Q Magnets. If you missed it, you can read the full story here. My journey resonated with many of you, including John, who was inspired to give Q Magnets another try for his chronic migraines.

John’s experience underscores an essential lesson: Sometimes, the key to effective magnetic field therapy is specificity, finding the right magnet device along with the perfect placement.
John's Journey: 36 Years of Chronic Migraines
For 36 long years, John lived with daily migraines, waking each morning to debilitating pain. Despite trying virtually every available treatment—from medications and injections to nerve-burning procedures and Botox—lasting relief remained elusive.
Like some, John initially had limited success with Q Magnets, trying various placements without significant results. It wasn't until, out of sheer desperation, he tried our smallest magnet (the Q6-1.5) placed precisely at the GB20 points at the base of his skull that everything changed.
To John's amazement, the relief was immediate:
“The pain was still there, but significantly reduced. I couldn’t believe it… the smallest magnets, which looked so inconsequential, actually worked.” You can read John’s full account here.
Bigger Isn’t Always Better
John’s experience reveals a crucial insight—larger magnets aren't always more effective. In his case, smaller magnets were gentler and more precisely targeted, offering consistent relief:
Pain reduced from a chronic 7-8 to a manageable 1-2 most days.
Strategic overnight placement further improved morning pain.
Continuous experimentation led John to understand his unique therapeutic needs.
Persistence Pays Off
However, John’s journey wasn’t without setbacks. Recently, during a challenging period, he found his usual placements ineffective:
“I was disappointed when the magnets seemed to stop working. But by adjusting placements and giving it time, I discovered they still provide consistent relief—around 10% daily, sometimes up to 30%.”
John adapted practically too, even getting an undercut hairstyle and using eyelash glue to secure magnets longer-term.
John’s Key Advice
Experiment with placements and magnet sizes.
Aim for incremental, stackable pain relief.
Combine magnetic therapy with other effective strategies—like exercise and maintaining a stoic mindset.
A Message of Hope
John's experience highlights that perseverance and adaptability can transform your therapeutic outcomes. If your initial attempts with Q Magnets weren't successful, consider revisiting placements and magnet strengths. Small adjustments might lead to substantial improvements.
