October is Facial Pain Awareness Month; Featured Product & More!
One of facial pains more common variants is trigeminal neuralgia. The condition is rare, difficult to diagnose and often termed "suicide pain", because of its intense and unrelenting nature. Some people go for years before they are properly diagnosed and endure costly and painful procedures such as dental work and nerve blocks.

Bob’s Journey to Relief: A Real Story of Hope
Today, we share Bob’s remarkable story of hope—one that started with debilitating pain but found relief using Q magnets.
Bob was referred to our Brisbane medical centre in 2008 from the Multiple Sclerosis Society physiotherapy clinic.
My wife Dianne had a remarkable reputation for treating many complex pain conditions, using Q magnets along with other treatments such as laser and muscle releases.
Bob's facial pain seemed to come and go with his MS episodes. But after wearing Q magnets over his TMJ joints for a few days, his pain dissipated for an entire year. At which time he applied the magnets again for the same result. Bob made a video testimony of his story, it was so remarkable...
Temperomandibular Joint (TMJ) Pain Relief with Magnet Therapy
Most countries have Trigeminal Neuralgia support groups, such as Trigeminal Neuralgia Association Of Australia that offer education, regular meetings and other supports. With so many Q magnets success stories providing relief for people experiencing this condition, the association purchased some sets to make them accessible for members through their different support groups.
Q magnets connect with Trigeminal Neuralgia support groups.
It is important to understand that it may not be possible to take the pain away, but there are ways you can help- your loved one and yourself- to cope with facial pain. Caring for someone in pain is hard, and it's natural to feel frustrated or helpless at times. But remember, you're doing your best. It’s okay to take care of yourself too. Q magnets might not be a total cure, but they could help make those difficult days a little easier. Even while on the waiting list for neurosurgery, which generally provide very good outcomes.
Applying Q Magnets to areas like the jaw and neck can help reduce pain by altering how nerves send pain signals to the brain. Best results are achieved when the devices are removed after 2-3 days, allowing the nervous system time to adapt to the pain free sensation and if the pain returns apply again immediately until the symptoms have abated.

Q magnets can be useful for treating a wide range of painful conditions.
Q magnets are effective in the treatment of acute pain and can also aid relief from chronic pain, and postoperative pain. They are used for common aches and pains of daily living such as headaches, neck pain, jaw pain, shoulder pain, upper back and lower back pain, elbow and wrist pain, hip, knee and ankle pain.
The Q magnets are most effective when placed over an area of strong pain where there are abnormally functioning pain fibres. Since all pain is interpreted in the spine, they can also be placed over the spinal segments of the nerves that innervate that area.
Pain receptors at the end of C-nerve fibres are affected by the chemical irritation from the inflammatory response. Q magnets modulate cell membrane permeability and allow the chemical irritation to be flushed away naturally by the surrounding lymphatic system, thus aiding the healing process.
Dermatomes are areas of skin supplied with afferent (carry messages to the brain) nerve fibres by a single nerve root. Dermatome mapping helps to understand why pain may travel beyond the injury site to other areas of the body. Understanding dermatomes helps to locate the correct Q magnet placements over the spinal segments.
Q Magnets are an effective adjunctive therapy for the treatment of pain and are quick and simple to apply for experienced medical acupuncturists. Scientific research provides empirical evidence that Quadrapolar static magnets with their steep field gradient had an effect on nerve tissue that was not shared with common bipolar magnets.
Feature Product: HF20-3
The HF20-3 is a nice size and with six active area of the magnet (Hexapolar), offers an optimised therapeutic field.
It may not penetrate as deep as a Quadrapolar magnet of the same size QF20-3, but if the extra depth of penetration is not required, then it’s most likely the most effective choice.
See our page on Device Selection for a more comprehensive explanation.
Applications for which the HF20-3 might be more advantageous than the QF20-3 would include, over:
The trigeminal ganglion
A superficial trigger point
An acupuncture point
A smaller muscle belly
Thousands use Q Magnets in their daily life. We find that people living with poorly managed chronic pain, or who are coping with treatment side effects, want to avoid surgery or want to reduce their reliance on pharmaceutical medicine greatly benefit with magnetic field therapy. Those suffering from acute pain may also experience near-instant pain relief that will enable them to avoid the potential pitfalls of pharmaceuticals.
If you or someone you know struggles with facial pain, give Q magnets a try. Relief could be closer than you think. And if you're a health professional, explore how Q magnets can enhance your pain management protocols, go here for more details.
For our regular customers, we have a friends and family discount of 20% for completing our feedback process after 30 days of use.

Magnetic Mattress Pads Helping Provide Support for those Suffering Chronic Pain
Learn about magnetic mattress pads made with multipolar magnets designed for pain relief. Often in complex pain conditions, neurological dysfunction occurs, and having an adjunct non-invasive drug-free modality to reduce pain can be effective. Additionally magnetic mattress pads such as Q Blankets treat larger areas of the body and provide superior comfort and stress relieving effects. Read this research review to learn more.
